This 3600-square foot custom home was designed as a replacement for one lost in the Oakland Hills fire of 1991. Features include a magnificent great room flooded with natural light that also provides a home for the familys grand piano.
Spacious kitchen features cherry cabinetry, granite counters and large eating area. |
The design goal was to provide a mix of elegant yet informal common areas with large bedrooms distributed so as to afford privacy to all the family members. During construction the Owners noticed the opportunity to develop a large attic space into a master bedroom loft. Using the services of a local artisan, we created a custom fir ships ladder leading to a charming upper level space. |
